A short history of POWERLAND GHANA.

Powerland is a registered business in Ghana which came out of an earlier business registered in 1991, called GOLD RIVER SOLAR ELECTRIC. Gold River Solar Electric a first among the very first to deal in Solar power equipment in Ghana, cooperated with " Jade Mountain " of Colorado, " PHOTOTRONIK SOLAR TEKNIK" of Munchen, Germany, & Trace Engineering in Arlington, USA, and had its core business target in the field of providing electric power from Renewable Energy sources.

Gold River Solar Electric was replaced by POWERLAND in 1998, to allow the business to broaden its operations into all fields of electrical engineering. The new focus since then had been designing & providing sustainable backup power systems for homes and offices, Bank ATMs, servers for data transmission and many other services whose power needs are critical for their survival.

In this effort, all sources of energy available are now considered in designing hybrid power systems. Reliable power Inverters made only by the most competent manufacturers known, tried & tested by our own history are employed in our designs. Key here are TRACE ENGINEERING/ Xantrex, OUTBACK and Magnum.

Our market credit today is for the constant choice of these super inverters over the years. In some circles, in fact our name is synonymous with Good Power Inverters! We are asked first,- DO YOU HAVE INVERTERS? We ask back- which one? We became one of the first if not the first in year 2000, in Ghana to cooperate with African Energy, the now popular American supplier of renewable energy equipment to the African continent.

For good reason solar panel application in our hybrids is more often in many cases. For instability in local power supply, we designed and had been having Manufactured for us branded PowerLand Automatic Voltage Regulator systems and Solar Batteries since 2007. Hundreds of these have since been deployed on many Banking UPSs, ATMs, Domestic power backup systems and others. Solar Air conditioning of ATM & Server cubicles in Stand Alone locations, while providing "Hybrid No Fail Power" for bank customers to access their cash is one of our new innovations in the power crisis that had hit Ghana.
